  • Noah Jeffries Memorial shoot & fund raiser @BlackJack 3/24

Blackjack is located in Sumterville, FL:
    3372 County Road 526
    Sumterville FL 33585

Noah was a fine young man many of us knew and we were devastated when he was killed last year in a traffic accident He was Manager at Tenoroc in Lakeland Florida

On 24th March Black Jack is hosting a Memorial and all entry fees will go to his family

The shoot is on Scoring Pro and has a very detailed piece about the shoots they are doing

Blackjack Sporting Clays would like to invite everyone to our "Noah Jeffries Memorial" NSCA event on March 24, 2018. There will be a 100 target morning round on the Blue Course and an additional 100 target event on the Orange Course. The event will have trappers with master score sheets so you will not have to shoot in a squad of 3 or more. Registration opens at 8:30am with coffee and light breakfast foods, shooting begins at 9am, and lunch service starts at 10:30am.

Also, please notice that on Sunday March 25, 2018 we are hosting the Noah's Army Foundation Shoot (link on scoringpro) with an additional 150 rounds of competition offered. The proceeds from BOTH of these shoots will all go to benefit this great cause that Noah's family has started. It is our hope that we can do everything possible to attract shooters from all over the State for a great weekend of shooting in Noah's memory. Below is a message from Noah's parents:

Noah fell in love with competitive clays shooting when he was 13 after a charity event was brought to his attention as something he might like to try. He was hooked immediately, attending every charity shoot held at Tenoroc Range in Lakeland, FL, till someone suggested he might like to give competitive sporting clays a try with the NSCA. It became an all consuming passion for him very quickly. He loved everything about it, the competition, the events, the people, his fellow competitors, there was nothing he didn't appreciate in it. It didn't matter what the event was; sporting, super sporting, 5-stand, sub-gauge, even skeet and trap. He cherished it all.

From a young age Noah always talked about either entering the military or becoming a police officer and one day a US Marshal. He believed in the true concept of America and its people. He was a throwback to an era that long outdated his age. He believed in respect, commitment, honor, responsbility and work. He loved deeply, fought hard and never gave up.

Noah was to attend the Polk State College of Public Safety in 2018 to begin his career in law enforcement with the Polk Sheriff's Office. On October 2nd, 2017 his motorcycle was struck while he was traveling to meet with his fiance, Dana Dombroski. On October 4th, two days later, he passed away due to his injuries. Noah became an organ donor when he was 16 when received his driver's license, because he believed it was the right thing to do. Four people were matches in the state of Florida and on October 6th, received Noah's transplants to continue to live their lives.

Noah lived his life always attempting to help others. It's who he was. We want to continue to do good for others in his memory, therefore we have established the Noah's Army Foundation. One of our first goals is to create a scholarship with Polk State College Public Safety that will award one cadet per class per year who demonstrates exemplary character and community service to cover their full tuition and gear. We chose this, because while we his parents, offered to pay for his training in full, he wanted to pay for it himself. We felt it was fitting to create this scholarship so other men and women who may mirror his dreams and character, would be able to achieve their goals and serve our community.

We felt the only fundraising method that would best honor Noah, was to take it back to the clays course for a fun shoot, where everything first began for him.

If you aren't a NSCA member, you can join for free for the first year at the club.
